10:15am
Just got breakfast/brunch put in the oven.
I am making Apple & Sausage Brunch Casserole.
The original recipe calls for 6 cups of bread cubes.
Instead of bread cubes I am using a double pack of
chicken flavored stove top stuffing that I found
in the mark down bin at Kroger for $1.29.
I did not add green onions, chives or mushrooms to
this as I didn't have any on hand.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9" x 13" casserole dish.
1. Brown sausage in skillet, drain.
I used Bob Evan maple flavored sausage.
2. In a bowl, whisk together 5 eggs and 2 1/2 cups milk.
Set aside.
3. Sprinkle 1 package of stuffing mix evenly into
bottom of casserole dish.
Top with half of the sausage and 1 cup shredded cheese.
I used a Colby Jack mix.
4. Open a can of apple pie filling. I inserted a knife
into the can to chop up the apple pieces. Spoon
the apple pie filling evenly over top of the cheese.
5. Repeat layers with another package of stuffing,
sausage and top 1 cup cheese.
6. Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over top of everything.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

10:30am
Christopher woke up with some sniffles today so we
are trying something different to conquer colds.
I found Zicam Cold Remedy in the mark down bin
at Kroger. Was $12 marked down to $4.00.
Zicam is supposed to reduce the duration of a cold.
It is for children and adults 12 years of age and older.
It says to spray 4 times in your mouth (spray both cheeks,
root of mouth and gums, hold 15 seconds and swallow).
Repeat every 3 hours for 2 days.
-mint flavor
-non-habit forming
-no known drug interactions
-non-drowsy
So I will keep you updated to let y'all know if this
stuff works.
I like to be able to sample items like this at a much
lower cost. If it does seem to work then I might
buy it at full cost if we need it.
You can read more about it on their ZICAM website. And it appears they have a printable $2.00 coupon as well.

I just read this on Ohio State Buckeyes Facebook page
so you might want to check it out today only!
"Today only, Columbus and Central Ohio McDonald’s are offering a FREE Large Fries to fans in celebration of a great Buckeye Basketball season."

2:10pm
My oldest son stopped by today to introduce us to his new girlfriend.
She seemed very nice. Quiet and shy.
The mailman just came and delivered me a package from Kroger.
I got a free diaper bag. I can use this bag with
so many compartments and pockets as a purse for when
we go on family outings. It's large enough to hold
water bottles, snacks, camera, things from the flea market
and the kitchen sink, lol.
Included with the bag was a booklet of coupons.
Free 12-96 count pack of diapers or training pants,
$2.50 off Comforts formula,
Free 82 count wipes,
Free Comforts puffs or Little Crunchers,
B1G1 Free baby or toddle accessory,
$2.00 off Kroger prenatal vitamins,
$1.00 off Kroger Home Sense anti-bacterial wipes

3:40pm
Have spent this afternoon still tidying up the house.
Getting ready to head out and run a few errands.
We had someone come look at our car for sale yesterday
and they told us they would be back today between 2 & 3:00pm
to close the deal since there was no place with a notary open
on Sunday. Well that was a wasted hour. They never showed up.
Don't ya just love inconsiderate people like that.
It just sucks because you get your hopes up on what people
tell you because you really depend upon making that money
to pay doctor bills with.
Going to pick up some picnic food for the cooler.
Heading to Indian Lake tomorrow morning
to visit the in-laws. We always pack a cooler
with pop, sandwich items and snacks so we don't have
to pay the high prices of convenient stores or
fast food joints when out of town.

6:30pm
We had frozen Kroger pizzas for supper.
For dessert I made strawberry cheesecakes in
tortilla cups.
Check out the size of these strawberries from Kroger!
While in Kroger I also picked up 4 yogurts.
I cut a small slit in the tops of the yogurts
and inserted plastic spoons into them
and put them in the freezer for a frozen yogurt treat.
